Gorainagar Agnibina Sangha

Gorainagar Agnibina Sangha was registered in the year 2000 with registrar of societies, West Bengal vide registration No S/97250 of 1999-2000. A group of young village based social activists came forward to achieve social & economic development through concerted effort in collaboration with Govt. banks, PRIs and other Social activists of the same feather. Since inception Gorainagar Agnibina Sangha is trying to mainstream local underprivileged poor people specially women folk of the community through education, vocational training, awareness generation, consumer protection, improvement of income, health, hygiene, sanitation and elimination of social evils through continuous and systematic efforts. The performance of the organization in last 14 years activities are remarkable in the following fields. In collaboration with NABARD thousands of under privileged men and women were given opportunity to form SHGs as SHPI where trained beneficiaries obtained bank loans for maintain their activities and ensuring income generation and better livelihood under financial literacy programmes of NABARD & Banks the Gorainagar Agnibina Sangha has tremendous works to hundred percent coverage in Haroa Block. The Skill Development Programmes of NABARD and NYK the Gorainagar Agnibina Sangha Participated in various programmes for income generation of weaker section of people with various departments of both central and State Govt. The Gorainagar Agnibina Sangha has participated in good many programmes for betterment of the society in sphere of life. For example formation of Farmer's Club, JLG Group, SDI, MEDP & REDP of NABARD, Micro Insurance Policy (Jiban Madhur), and Tree Plantation Programmes may be noted.
